It is true that the odd controversial subject remains, but the Council of Wisdom has agreed on passing all on to my supervision. It shall be up to me, being one of Giladaé's wisest scholars, to decide on the selection and order of the chronicle's final contents. Thus be told, that I feel both honoured and humbled by this offer. For what more am I than a modest servant of knowledge and truth? Yet, if the unanimous wish of all assembled scholars is to burden me with this task in addition to 847 years of age I shall accept it as best I can. You are surprised at my age? Thus know that I spring from the elvish blood, even though this is an old age amongst my people and the seasons way as heavy on my spirit as they may on the backs of men, gnomes or dwarves. Indeed, I remember times before the awakening of the Great Darkness, times when the Peoples of Light needed not count the days in fear of the slumbering evil on the Throne of Flames. And yet, there is also a time long before mine I may likely have to judge… Well, so be it! During the following moons and years I shall release the Chronicles of Giladaé. Yet keep in mind that not I alone but many accredited men and women from all over the known countries have united their wisdom in order to accumulate this knowledge.
